21 Day Fix/ Core De Force Client Results

21 Day Fix/ Core De Force Client Recognition Time!!  I am so proud of this girl that I just had to share with everyone. This is Jess and she started out in my Bridal Boot camp group back in mid August. As off today she is down 40 pounds!!!! She did this by using 21 Day Fix and Core De Force Beachbody programs combined with Shakeology.

Jess is a prime of example of how Beachbody programs can truly work if you agree to commit and put in the work. That means following not only the exercise program but also the nutrition side of the programs. If you use both of them together you will get to that goal you are after!

It is not only about weight loss it is also about health and happiness. Jess and I have talked about mindset a lot and about being positive. This girl has done a complete 180 not just on weight but also on her attitude. She just radiates confidence and happiness and it shows. She will be walking down the aisle, feeling and looking the best she has ever felt. Who doesn’t want to feel that way?

I am so proud of you Jess and all of the hard work that you have put in. Not only the work but also how inspiring you are to the other ladies in our group as well. Thank you for allowing me to share your success!!

If you would like to try either one of these programs in either my bridal boot camp facebook group or my monthly accountability group, I would love to chat with you about it. Let’s find out which program would suit you best and take it from there. You can email me at joannebjung@gmail.com or message me on my Clean Eating Mommy Facebook Page.

21 Day Fix Results: Week 1

A sample of my 21 Day Fix Meals

A sample of my 21 Day Fix Meals

21 Day Fix results from week 1!!! I have done the program before and loved it. I lost 15 pounds doing the extreme version after having Emma. I have had a rough few months and decided to re-do 21 Day Fix to re-set my body.

In August we found out that we were pregnant with our second baby. Most of August I spent nauseous and with little energy. I was not consistent with my workouts or with eating clean. This was also how most of September looked too. Then in the 3rd week of September we went for our first Ultra Sound and found out we had a missed miscarriage, the baby had stopped growing but my body still thought it was pregnant.

The last month was filled with physical and emotional complications from the missed miscarriage and then an incomplete miscarriage. Last week I was ready to start trying to get back on track and lose the 15 pounds that I had gained since the beginning of August. I knew that 21 Day Fix was a great place to start!

Since I had been down this road before, I knew what to expect food and exercise wise. The great thing about the 21 Day Fix and also the biggest misconception is that you think you will always be hungry. I never feel hungry on this plan. I always start with breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner and sometimes even an evening snack. That is depending on how late I have dinner.

The most common questions I hear is: “Do I have to finish all of the food?” That is a good sign right?

What about cravings? I used to crave sugar a lot. This has all changed after I started drinking Shakeology. Specifically, vegan chocolate shakeology. I love this stuff. It has been life changing for me. It keeps me satisfied and tricks me into thinking that I had indulged in something bad! I switched to vegan because the regular version was giving me belly bloat.

The weekend is my biggest struggle because we normally like to have some red wine on Friday and Saturday nights. The amazing part is that 21 Day Fix lets you drink wine!!! or the cocktail of your choice. It is all in the program, this is why it is easier to stick to than any other plan I have ever done.

I am on to week 2 and I can not wait to share with you the rest of this journey! Stay tuned 🙂 If you are interested in joining my next 21 Day Fix Challenge Group, here is how you can contact me:

Ulcerative Colitis and Probiotics

Just Thrive provided me with product for this review. There was no monetary compensation.  All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I do not share this very often, but I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis 12 years ago. Up until last spring, I had gone 4 years without having a flare up. When I had that flare up, was the first time I had to actually do more research and look into how to manage my gut health properly. Something that kept coming up was using a good probiotic.

On my quest to find the perfect probiotic, I was given the opportunity to try out and review a probiotic that is different from the others. I was so excited to be able to review Just Thrive Probiotic.

What makes Just Thrive different?

Just Thrive Probiotic and Antioxidant is a supplement that you take once daily. It introduces good bacteria back into your gut and helps to restore its natural balance. Most probiotics make the similar products, but they get digested when you eat them and don’t survive long enough to do any good. Just Thrive actually has the bacteria that can actually survive the harsh environment of your stomach to make it to where they’re needed in your gut. That means the probiotic can actually do the job that it is meant to do, which is heal your gut health and get you back on track.

How did I feel after using it for 30 Days?

My flare up from UC has been gone for a while, but I have on-and- off symptoms, mainly slight cramping that can be quite uncomfortable at times. After a week of using Just Thrive Probiotics, I stopped having that discomfort. The great thing is that after 30 days, I still have not had any cramping or other GI issues. Because my symptoms do come and go, I cannot say 100% that this was all due to taking Just Thrive, but I can tell you it did make a difference in how I am feeling. I’m so happy to have found a probiotic that I can trust and is finally helping me feel great.

The Master’s Hammer and Chisel Review

The Master’s Hammer and Chisel review, finally! I have finally finished the program, I am not used to doing a program that is 8 weeks long. Even though it was 8 weeks, I loved it!

The workouts were challenging, and I really got into using weights more than I ever have been. The real shocker for me was that…. I actually preferred that Hammer workouts. Being a 21 Day Fix junkie, I assumed that I would prefer Autumn’s chisel workouts but I loved Sagi and his strength workouts more. The hammer workouts were something that I looked forward to and I even ended up increasing my free weights twice!

The diet was a challenge because we had some vacation time planned during the 8 weeks. Like I said earlier, 8 weeks was a long time for me to be strict with food. We travel a fair amount during the year and I normally enjoy food on my vacations and return to normal when I get back. So, if we are being honest here, I failed at the eating portion of the program. The meal guide was similar to the 21 Day Fix diet and included the portion control containers as well. Not sticking to the diet really effected my results for sure.

This workout program is not for beginners, There is equipment that is needed and most people do not have a chin up bar just hanging around the house. It is also not a major weight loss program, I found at times I was gaining weight and this would be due to intense amount of weight lifting that is involved in the program. I had never felt stronger by the end of the 8 weeks and I am really impressed with the fact that I had upped my weights twice. If you are a beginner, I would suggest starting off with the 21 Day Fix and then moving up to this program after a couple of rounds.

Will I do the program again?? Heck ya! I am currently doing a round of 21 Day Fix Extreme before I leave on holidays. I plan on giving Hammer and Chisel another shot when I get back. Jon will be re-joining me in this next round. He had to quit in the middle of doing Hammer and Chisel because he had injured his neck, not doing the program but go-carting at a work conference! I am psyched that he will be jumping back in with me, I love working out with a partner.

21 Day Fix Meal Plan Sample

What a lunch might look like on a 21 Day Fix Meal Plan

What a lunch might look like on a 21 Day Fix Meal Plan

21 Day Fix Meal Plan Sample! I get asked quite often about my meal plans and I thought it was time I shared one with you guys. I am also excited and pumped to have new challengers in my 21 Day Fix groups and love to share my meal plans with them. The 21 Day Fix program has truly changed my life and the lives of my challenge group participants.

I am already a clean eater and know what foods to eat. I kind of struggled with knowing how much of those foods to eat. I can definitely over do it on portion sizes of those healthy foods and believe it or not, that still effects your waist line! The portion control containers with the program are truly a game changer for anyone that tries them.

I always recommend that once you have the 21 Day Fix program guide that you sit down and read it. Get to know the nutrition plan before you start thinking about what you are going to eat. You container allowance is based on your weight and the calories that you are burning off with the 30 minute workouts!

Once you know your container allowance, you go through the list of foods allowed in each container. There is a lot to choose from and makes meal planning fun for me every week! There is so much variety and anyone that has been on a food plan, knows that variety is really important. Without a variety of foods to eat from, you will probably get bored and stray.

I do not eat out of my containers, I use them to measure out my food before each meal. I do know that a lot of my challengers using the 21 Day Fix Meal Plan, use the containers to take the food to work in. Since I work at home, that has not been the case for me. Every time I measure out my food I am always pretty shocked at how much food I get!

21 Day Fix Meal Plan also gives allowances for treats such as a glass of wine!! This is something I do take advantage of on the weekend. Do not drink wine every day but you can have it during the week if you want to trade it for a carb count.

The awesome 21 Day Fix guide also comes with some recipes and gives you ideas for seasonings as well. On top of that there is a guide for eating out at restaurants in case that does happen during your 21 day plan. How awesome is that?

I think the hardest part is keeping track of the container count but there is an app for that! Also, within my group I have tally sheets you can use those to keep track of what containers you have already used that day. This is awesome for people who need to see things visually.

With the 21 Day Fix Meal Plan and really any program you need to plan things out. Like they say if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. I sit down and plan out all of my meals for the week. If you do it this way, you are less likely to be searching for food options during the week. You will already know what you are eating next, snacks included!

Here is a look at one of my meal plans:

Slim in 6: Why you should give it a try!

Slim in 6 Review

Slim in 6 Review

Hey guys! I hope you are all having a great week so far. I have been doing Slim in 6 for a month now and I am really happy with the results! So happy that I thought I would share with you how things are going.  After the holidays and after weaning off breast-feeding I had managed to put on an extra 15 pounds. I am really excited to say that after a month of Slim in 6, I have lost 10 of those pounds. It is no t just about the number on the scale though.

I feel like I am getting a lot stronger and more toned. Jon even commented the other day, that my stomach is starting to get flat again. I never really thought that would happen post c-section. I was starting to really get down on myself and my post partum body and now I am on my way to feeling good about my body again.

What do you need for the Slim in 6 program?

  • 3-8 pound weights
  • resistance bands (although I have done workouts without them and just subbed in weights)
  • heart rate monitor (optional but helpful)
  • chair for balance
  • patience and a positive attitude

This program is an older one from Beachbody, Slim in 6 has been around since 2007 and it works. I will be doing a full review and maybe posting photos (if I can get beyond being camera-shy) when the 6 weeks is over. The 6 weeks will be over just in time for our mini vacation to Puerto Rico. I was dreading putting the old bikini on but now, not so much. I may even get out there and buy a new swimsuit, thanks to Beachbody and Slim in 6. I will keep you all updated on my progress with the program. What is your favorite at home workout program?
